Tug

The furry nutless barfbag passed away this morning.

He was 13.

Silly how upset I am... over a cat.

I found him when he was 5 weeks old. He could fit in the palm of my hand. He was abandoned & had wedged himself up under the siding of an electrical box at an apartment building. I made the artist get a crow bar and rip off the siding of the building to get to him.

He slept with me every night.
He was my morning alarm clock.
He would be waiting at the door for me every time I came home.

A complete momma's boy.

My...momma's boy.

I could not tell you which one of us cried more when Pudgie died, Ms. A or me. You can have Cotton if you want....he's lazy and fat. Not much of a barfer though....

I'm sorry to hear of your loss - he sounds like he had a great run thanks to you.

I'm with daddy p. - there's nothing silly about our attachments to animals. They are beings with unique personalities and when we form long term bonds with them, they are no different than family or good friends.

Sorry. I'm sure that one day when the time is right you'll have another "barfer" in your life.

He was very annoying, hogged the bed and slept on my new board, even flashed the claws when I wanted it back...... yup, that's the picture!!

he does have his claws pretty close to that board with a mean look in his eye. Sorry to hear about this, definitely go rescue another!

Furry Nutless Barfbag was the name of my band in college. Sorry about the cat.

my condolences, seeing as i like cats more than most people i feel for you, least he didn't end up on the street and you gave him a good life where he got to barf on your pillows and sleep all day in sunny windows, like the song says "if you want a friend feed any animal."

Sorry to see this. My condolences to you.

We have a 14 year old who barfs up fur balls daily. I wonder how much longer he has. He was once the toughest cat I have ever seen. Killing gophers daily (among birds, rats, mice), ruling the rest of the neighborhood cats with an iron paw, destroying my furniture and marking everything. He was a nuisance. The Primus song 'Tommy The Cat', was his theme song. Now he just sits by his dish, waiting for food and puking up hairballs, and I look upon him with a sadness as I can see how old he is. He used to drive me nuts, but now I know when it is his time, I will miss him.

No, there is nothing at all silly about feeling the loss of something you love, no matter the history.

Hope you are well.

Aloha

Thank you...all.

One week later....I stripped the sheets off the bed. No more black fuz coating my pillow.

Queen B...Harley...actually misses the big bulley. She's 14...
