We used to live near a large wood and right in the middle there was a solitary bunch of daffodils that had to be found each year - a rite of Spring I guess ....
Dad - No trouble at all. I needed to clear my head...and figured that was as good a place as any. (I got my 4 miles in...and the rain made it appear as if I wasn't really crying.) ;-)
This rhodi is in fact standing there on its own. No others in sight. I think that's why I like it so much.
It's amazing! Wow, there's this place I went with my Mom on Skyline in Woodside, it's a rhododendron farm. You go to dig up your own and they are very expensive. Nature and miles are the best way to clear the head!
a 4 mile hike through woods to a flowering lone rhododendron seems like the best entertainment I've heard of in a while, especially when you're in gray and unrelenting SoCal
